Make YOUR Voice Heard!

To help serve you better, CADL wants to know what Teen Programming you’d like to see at your local library! Maybe you’d like a club to talk about music … or a place to share original writing, art or poetry. Maybe you want a book group devoted to your favorite genre – like Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Adventure or Mystery. Maybe you even have a great idea for a one-time special event you’d like to see happen at the library.
Whatever your hopes, suggestions or great ideas, we hope you’ll share them here by posting below. And if you want to chime in with support for someone else’s idea, that’s great, too! Just remember: along with your post, it would be helpful to include your grade and home library branch.

According to a recent CADL survey at Mason High School, more than half (52%) the teens who responded were in favor of a music discussion group. 18% wanted a group for sharing original writing and poetry, 11% wanted a separate book discussion for high-schoolers, and 19% wrote something in the “Other” field (no single suggestion was statistically significant).
In short, you can probably expect to see a monthly music discussion group coming to the Mason Library this Fall, at least on a trial basis. Your feedback matters!

South Lansing Branch.
Rock/Alternative/Punk Music Discussion group.
Vampire reading group.
Original writing and poetry share group.
